I ordered this detector for a friend who is technically challenged because this device is very easy to install, has a very loud alarm, simple to test, and most importantly a visual display showing the CO level when it does alarm. The price is reasonable given there is a 7 year warranty. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again.
This detector can be installed in a normal A/C plug or mounted near the ceiling using the included extender cord on the plug. I like the visual display and the 7 year warranty. I do recommend this device.
My 3rd CO2 monitor in as many weeks. Easy to install, in a lower to the ground location. Location and screen make testing and reading test the display easy. Needed more explicit instructions about what a real alarm condition would be like. Had to consult a pro.
I would give it excellent, but on one of them I ordered several the little door in front wont stay closed. Other than that needed to replace it all is good, and when I replaced, I replaced with the same model.

I was a bit apprehensive when I ordered three of this product, but it turned out to be one of the most user-friendly products I could recall. Once I read the user guide, the monitor was easy to understand, to install, and to check on an on-going basis.
This product is rated well with Consumers and has not had any recalls as yet, so it was a good choice for me. As I just installed it in our home, it is too soon to say how it works over time so my number is based on information researched.

Here are a few situations that may cause a carbon monoxide alarm "false alarm:"
- The carbon monoxide alarm needs to be relocated. Carbon monoxide alarms should be located 15-20 feet away from all fossil fuel burning sources like furnaces and stoves. Alarms should be located 10 feet away from sources of humidity like showers.
- Fossil fuel burning appliances may not be burning fuel completely. Check pilot lights/flames for blue color. Appearance of yellow or orange flames indicates incomplete combustion-a source of carbon monoxide.
