The First Alert PRC700 Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm has a slim profile, designed to blend more fully into the wall and out of sight. It offers the same functionality you expect from First Alert with a new design that takes up less space. The battery-operated smoke and carbon monoxide detector alerts you to possible smoke or carbon monoxide and can be installed anywhere, no wires required.
Slim Profile Is Ideal for Modern Decor
The First Alert Combination Carbon Monoxide and Photoelectric Smoke Alarm is half the thickness of traditional detection devices, while still offering trusted detection of smoke and carbon monoxide. The thin design blends more easily into walls and ceilings, ensuring safety does not interfere with style. The sleek, white disk minimizes the usual lights and buttons of regular detectors for a cleaner look.
Comprehensive Detection for Your Home or Office
A photoelectric sensor detects smoke from slow smoldering fires, while reducing the number of false of alarms due to cooking smoke or steam from a shower. The advanced electrochemical sensor detects carbon monoxide leaks from multiple sources, including faulty fuel-burning appliances. The combination smoke and CO detector provides monitoring for both conditions in one streamlined device.
Battery Operation Eliminates Wires
The Combination Carbon Monoxide and Photoelectric Smoke Alarm operates on two AA batteries, eliminating the need for wires or installation by an electrician. It can be mounted anywhere, on ceilings and walls. Battery operation means that even in the event of a power outage, the alarm can still function.

Slim Line
The guest hates intrusions into her trailer space. Even the smoke detector hung too low. Not anymore! Thank you for this ultra slim alternative

This model is a slimmer design than my previous Smoke/CO Alarm. Easy installation. And even came with batteries.

Great Price
I found what I wanted at a more reasonable price by going directly to the product website. Products arrived on time and in perfect condition. Now, if I can just find that drill bit....

Outdated batteries
When we received on 8/2018 and placed the alarms up, we noticed on back of alarm that the expiration date was Feb. 2016. We contacted the First Alert Store and they were unaware of the date, apologized and made the purchase right. Please check the date on the product. But I will give customer service a 5 star for their quick correction.
Customer Service Response:
We apologize for the expiration error. We're glad that were able to remedy the situation for you ASAP.

Very Good Product
I received the product and was impressed with the ease of setting it up. I also tested it with a candle it works very well. Couldn't be more happy.

So far so good
Bought 3 from first alert because all the other companies are getting bad reviews for smoke/co2 detectors that don't work for very long.

Although we would like cost to be lower for the 10yr, we have no problem with the quality of this product.
Sound sleep
This was purchased for 2 reasons. I live in a manufactured home and was told that the electrical panel had been recalled because it could catch fire. Since I'm on a fixed income and can't afford the repairs yet and the box is in my bedroom I wanted to be able to sleep without worry. Second, in the event of a hurricane and power outage the generator would be placed outside near my bedroom. Again I feel safe and secure while sleeping.
