I would like to know about the solution in the lead test kit. is it toxic, is it easily washable off the products it is applied on?
Response:With regards to the solution and safety, The LT1's manual states that owners should: 1) Perform all testing in a well-ventilated area- outdoors, if possible. 2) Avoid contact with Indicator Solution. 3) Wash hands with soap & water after handling items which have tested positive for lead.
I have a very old house with all cherry wood stain. Other tests turned pink and I could not tell if it was stain or a positive test. I had a clear answer within seconds of using!! Excellent product and I highly recommend!!!
