They look great, I can only hope they last closer to the 10 years promised than the last full sized detectors I purchased. Those lasted less than 6 months before malfunctioning.

Ultra-Compact Design
Much smaller than a traditional smoke detector, the First Alert P1010 Micro Smoke Alarm features a modern, ultra-compact design that can be unobtrusively mounted on a wall or ceiling. The unit is manufactured using 52 percent less resin and 76 percent less plastic than a standard alarm. The sleek white finish and gray accents coordinate seamlessly with most home decor. When smoke is detected, the smoke alarm sounds a loud 85-decibel siren.
Photoelectric Sensor Warns of Smoldering Fires
The First Alert P1010 alarm comes equipped with a photoelectric sensor to provide the earliest possible warning of fire. The sensor is optimized to detect larger smoke particles produced by smoldering fires, such as those caused by unextinguished cigarettes. It also distinguishes between real threats and smoke/vapor produced during showering, cooking, and other everyday activities, helping minimize the number of false alarms.
