Spring Cleaning - 09/13/10
By: SafetyLAB
It is that time of year that we all are starting our Spring Cleaning. I personally do not enjoy the cleaning, but I sure enjoy it when I am done. This year remember to check your home’s fire safety. When you are cleaning don’t forget to clean and vacuum your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to clear any dust that may be settling in the alarm. This is also a good time to check and see if you need to replace your alarms. While you are near the alarms, use their test button and make sure they are working properly. If you have a fire extinguisher(s) make sure they don’t need recharging. Clear them away from unnecessary obstacles so they are quick to grab. If you move the fire extinguisher from its location make sure everyone else in the home knows where it is located. Happy Spring Cleaning!!!
